
pipe major moore enlisted in the Royal irish fusiliers.(princess Victorias) regiment in 1964 .following 7 years of service in the forces with tours including ,USA ,CANADA ,GERMANY,SWITZERLAND, BOTSWANA,LESOTHO,and NORTHERN IRELAND.He attenderd a senior pipers course at the army school of piping . in Edinburgh castle . He was pipe major of the 2nd battalion Royal irish regiment for 8 years .He left the army in 1986 and spent 9 months in cleveland pipes and drums with pipe major willie brown .In 1991 he took over as pipe major of Teesside pipe band from pipe major Albert longstaff . and in may 2000 he took over as pipe major of Tees valley pipe band 2000. he has a diploma in piping and a senior teaching certificate and a pipe major s certificate . | | | |
